We learned these in Mr. Houck's fourth or fifth grade English class at Porter-Gaud School.
Mr. Houck taught us to remember them to the tune of "Taps".
I still remember them 55 years later, along with "It's always means it is".
Funny the stuff that stays with you.
I'm sorry to say that I didn't appreciate Mr. Houck at the time.
Sorry I did not appreciate the English teachers I had in high school, either, almost 60 years ago .
